Music Television is now just MTV

Over nearly three decades on air, almost everything about this cable network has changed.  It certainly does not just play music anymore, including its sister channel CMT. They say they’re changing with the times, although people outside MTV don’t quite see it the same. MTV was known for its famous tagline, “Music television.” So, the network has quietly unveiled the new logo which has dropped the tagline entirely, indicating that they are leaving its original mission of an all-music channel in the dust. It’s more reality TV now, which is HUGE shame, as the shows on this channel now are mindless nonsense and people watch. Shame…
