Picasso Painting Stolen
A LONE masked burglar ripped masterpieces worth $725 million (WOW!) from the walls of a Paris gallery today in one of the biggest art heists in history. Iconic paintings by Picasso, Matisse sand Modigliani were among those taken in the daring dawn raid. Staff discovered the five irreplaceable 20th century works missing when they arrived for work early at the city’s Museum of Modern Art. One officer at the scene revealed: “He was heavily disguised with a hood and face covering.”

The paintings stolen were Pablo Picasso’s 1912 oil painting ‘Dove with Green Peas’, ‘Pastoral’ by Henri Matisse (1906), ‘The Lady with the Fan’ by Amedeo Modigliani (1919), ‘The Olive Tree near Estaque’ by George Braque (1906), and ‘Still Life with Chandeliers’ by Fernand Leger (1922).
