A brain, a princess, a basket case and a criminal – all back together again.

Anthony Michael Hall, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson – four of the five Brat Pack stars who rocketed to fame in John Hughes’ seminal high-school drama The Breakfast Club – reunited in New York City Monday night for a screening of the film to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

The only missing face: the athlete (Emilio Estevez).

Tennis history was made at Wimbledon on today as France’s Nicolas Mahut and John Isner of the United States shattered the record for the longest-ever match. It’s been going on for two days and even today it was halted at 59-59 in the fifth set after an astonishing ten hours when bad light halted play again!

They surpassed the previous time of six hours and 33 minutes set at the 2004 French Open, when Fabrice Santoro beat fellow Frenchman Arnaud Clement 6-4, 6-3, 6-7, 3-6, 16-14.

“It is reasonable to say that it is the longest official tennis match in history,” International Tennis Federation spokesman Nick Imison told AFP, adding that it was certainly the longest in the Open Era records.

“There are not any records to suggest otherwise.”

The pair had gone past the eight-hour mark as they tussled at 45-45 in the final set of a match carried over from Tuesday, when they managed to complete the first four sets before sunset stopped them.

Isner won the first set 6-4, Mahut won the second 6-3 and the third 7-6 (9/7), before Isner won the fourth set 7-6 (7/3).

Apple just made its own solution of “HTPC” by updating its popular Mac Mini computers, which start at $699. The biggest improvement of the new Mac Mini for theater enthusiasts appears to be the inclusion of HDMI support, with an HDMI port and Mini DisplayPort built-in, along with an HDMI to DVI video adapter included in the $699 product. It’s only 7.7 inches square and 1.4 inches deep in its aluminum enclosure. Apple also says it has also beefed up the graphics capability, while trimming down on the energy output of the Mini.

Here’s a promotional poster for the 3D extravaganza Gulliver’s Travels. This is the movie’s billboard from Cannes a couple of weeks ago. It shows Jack Black pinned to the ground captured by lots of little people.

Gulliver’s Travels stars Jack Black, Emily Blunt (who turned down her Black Widow part in Iron Man 2 to appear in this) and Jason Segel. It will be released on December 22.

The much-loved American filmmaker and actor Dennis Hopper died today at his home in Venice, Calif., seven months after his manager announced that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was 74.

Early in his career, Hopper shared the screen with the likes of James Dean in 1955′s Rebel Without a Cause and Elizabeth Taylor in the 1956 epic Giant; later he worked with Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke and John Wayne in the 1969 Western True Grit. And though he started out a long way from Hollywood — in Dodge City, Kan., where he was born in 1936 — metaphorically the movies were always with him.

This report actually made me laugh, because who are you to believe? Sunscreen is supposed to protect us from cancer, but with more and more people actually getting skin cancer these days, maybe it’s these man made products and not the sun after all?  A new report from the Environmental Working Group claims that many products don’t do what they’re supposed to. Some sunscreens contains ingredients that might even trigger skin tumors, according to the 2010 Sunscreen Guide.

Public Enemy “Harder Than You Think.” This is the first single from their 20th Anniversary album HOW YOU SELL SOUL TO A SOULLESS PEOPLE WHO SOLD THEIR SOUL??? Album in stores August 7th! Not a lot of people know this, but I was thanked in the liner notes on their album “it takes a nation of millions to hold us back” and the band I was in at that time, was part of the 1987 Def Jam Tour with PE. Makes me feel proud to see them back:)

This marks the annual pilgrimage of 100,000 sun-seeking music fans to the Southern California desert for the three-day Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Jay-Z’s playing, Thom Yorke, MGMT, DEVO, plus Gorillaz, but there are also giant art and architectural installations created by a who’s who of Southern California architects. This year, Crimson Collective, an L.A.-based group of artists, architects, and designers constructed Ascension, a 45-foot tall crane with a 150-foot wingspan.

The A-Team are: Liam Neeson (John “Hannibal” Smith), Bradley Cooper (Templeton “Faceman” Peck), Rampage Jackson (BA Baracus) and Sharlto Copley (“Howlin’ Mad” Murdoch). Patrick Wilson will be chasing the boys down as Colonel Lynch.
