Dortmund (dpa) – BVB director Hans-Joachim Watzke has gone unnoticed the possible consequences after Borussia Dortmund’s 5-1 debacle against VfB Stuttgart.
“We have to analyze it,” the 61-year-old said after the frustrating home defeat of the Champions League round of 16, according to media reports. “If you lose 1: 5 at home, it’s a black day. I just wondered when it was the last time it was that high,” said Watzke. “It does not feel right.”
The embarrassing 1: 5 should give the Revierclub difficult times – especially coach Lucien Favre. “That was a disaster. We were very bad. That doesn’t work. We weren’t there today,” said Favre immediately after the game at Sky. After the fourth loss of the season, BVB is only fifth in the Bundesliga.
