A multi-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra, India, killing at least 10 people. The three-storey building collapsed in Vindy area near Mumbai around 4 am on Monday. On receipt of the news, a team of National Disaster Response Force reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Fire brigade and police were also involved in the rescue operation.
So far, at least 10 people have been rescued from the collapsed house. But the National Disaster Response Force fears that 20-25 people may still be trapped inside.
A spokesperson of Thane Pur Corporation said in a statement that “eight people have died so far due to the collapse of the building in the Valley.”
