Bremen (dpa) – The players, coaches and supervisors of Werder Bremen were tested again for the corona virus early on Friday morning after a corona case in the team.
The results of the tests are expected in the afternoon. If the results are negative, coach Florian Kohfeldt’s team will resume preparation for Sunday’s home game of the Bundesliga (6 p.m. / Sky) against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
A Werder football player tested positive on Wednesday. The responsible health department had ordered a 14-day home quarantine for the player, whose name the club does not identify, as well as another professional and a member of the functional team. The other players, coaches and supervisors had voluntarily stayed home until the test on Friday. A regeneration unit scheduled for Thursday had failed.
