Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, has said that the United Arab Emirates has betrayed the Muslim world, Arab nation, region and Palestine by establishing relations with Israel. He made the remarks while attending the annual conference of officials of the country’s education department on Tuesday. Iran’s official news agency Paras Today reported.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to establish normal relations with Israel on the initiative of US President Donald Trump. Subsequently, flights between Israel and the UAE officially began on Monday. Gerard Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and advisor, traveled to the United Arab Emirates as a passenger on the first flight.
Iran’s supreme leader says the UAE’s betrayal will not last long. But this stigma will not disappear. He has provided an opportunity for Israeli presence in the Emirates region. The Emirate has forgotten that the Jews have declared their existence in the occupied Palestinian state and established relations with them.
Khamenei said that the Palestinian nation was under great pressure from all sides. In this situation, Israel and Jewish members of the Trump family are acting against the interests of the Muslim world.
He hopes the UAE will quickly become aware and rectify its mistakes.
