Bremen (AP) – The Dutch record champion Ajax Amsterdam wants to contract midfielder Davy Klaassen of the Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, according to information from the daily newspaper “De Telegraaf”.
As the newspaper reported, Ajax has already officially deposited the interest with Bremen. Klaassen, 27, played for Ajax from 2011 to 2017 before moving to Everton. From there, the midfielder left for Werder Bremen a year later.
Although Klaassen is a regular for the North Germans, Werder would probably have the Dutchman move home if the transfer fee is correct. Due to the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, the residents of Bremen are dependent on income. The plan was actually to sell attacker Milot Rashica for a lot of money. A proposed change of the attacker from Kosovo to RB Leipzig has not yet materialized.
