Leverkusen (AP) – Patrik Schick will storm the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen in the future. The Czech, who was last loaned from AS Roma to RB Leipzig, has signed a five-year contract until 2025, Bayer announced.
According to the Italians, the transfer fee is 26.5 million euros. The 24-year-old aims to fill the gap left by Kai Havertz’s move to Chelsea. Schick scored ten goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances for league rival Leipzig last season.
“In the matches with Leipzig, I could see with my own eyes what a great team Bayer 04 has. They play offensively and aggressively – these are all things that I like and that match my view of football,” said the Prague resident. Bayer’s announcement, cited.
Leverkusen’s sporting director Rudi Völler said after the transfer, which had recently become apparent: “Patrik’s penetrating power and ultimate strength will do our attacking game well. And he will have players in our team who will show him and his strengths well. Schick will be officially presented on September 9. According to their own statements, the Romans will get ten percent of the turnover if Leverkusen resells the player in the future.
