FC Bayern has made an absolute top transfer with the signing of Leroy Sané. The signing of FC Bayern instead of Leverkusen is not possible for Bayern this year.

Record champions Bayern Munich rule out an obligation for Bayer Leverkusen’s super talent Kai Havertz, at least this summer. “I can say it very clearly: this will not be financially possible this year,” said CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in an interview with Sport1 for the DFB Cup final against the Werkself on Saturday (8pm, in Live ticker at Chillreport).

Rummenigge wishes Havertz to stay with Bayer for another year

Earlier, Bayern’s honorary president, Uli Hoeneß, had stated that an immediate purchase of the coveted international player was unrealistic. Rummenigge explained: “All of football in Europe and FC Bayern are currently facing major financial challenges, as long as they can no longer be played by spectators. You know how big Rudi Völler has in mind at Bayer Leverkusen.” In addition, Bayern has already taken Leroy Sané from Manchester City.

Rummenigge would like Havertz (21) to stay in Leverkusen for another year, in the interest of stronger national competition. However, the Champions League winner and the English champion Liverpool FC with team manager Jürgen Klopp should show a lot of interest.
