BJP leader Manish Shukla was shot dead in Barrackpore, West Bengal, India. The event is on Sunday night. BJP on Monday called for a 12-hour bandh in Barrackpore to protest against Manish’s murder. The state’s ruling party BJP has blamed the Trinamool Congress for the killings. However, the Trinamool Congress denied the allegations.
According to NDTV Online, Manish was a member of the BJP’s organizing Barrackpore district. He was also a councilor. Manish was standing near a local police station and talking to the people of the area and party leaders and activists. This accident took place at that time.
According to eyewitnesses, some people came to the spot on a motorcycle. He fired a few shots from Manish’s very close range. He was shot more than once. A partner was also shot. Manish was declared dead in the hospital.
West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has condemned the murder. He tweeted a condemnation late at night. The Governor has summoned the Director General of Police in connection with the murder. In addition, he also called the home secretary of state at Raj Bhavan.
According to the Trinamool Congress, Manish died due to internal conflict within the BJP.
