Leverkusen (dpa) – Bayer Leverkusen expects 20 percent of viewers out of 6,000 allowed fans to acknowledge his first Bundesliga home game against RB Leipzig on September 26.
“The relief is great. The Bundesliga experience is a bit back”, said sports director Simon Rolfes. For him it is “a good rule that we start with a certain number to improve the processes and adjust where necessary”.
After the active fan scene announced that it wanted to stay away from the games until all spectators had been admitted, the club now wants to re-enter the dialogue. “Then the tickets are drawn from all season ticket holders who want to be there,” explains Rolfes.
