Amsterdam (dpa) – The football players of FC Bayern have made a successful start in the Champions League. The team from Munich won the first leg in the round of 32 3-1 (0-0) at Ajax Amsterdam.

After eleven victories in the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup in a row, the team of coach Jens Scheuer was able to take a big step towards the eighth finals.

Kay-Lee de Sanders with an own goal in the 57th minute, Sydney Lohmann (69th) and just before the final whistle Simone Laudehr (86th) were successful for the key Munich women. Jonna van de Felde (79th) had surprised with the intermediate goal for mostly harmless Dutch women. The return game will take place on December 16 (6 p.m.) on the FC Bayern campus.
