Turin (AP) – Italian record champion Juventus Turin started the new season with a 3-0 (1-0) home win.

20-year-old Swede Dewjan Kulusevski (13th) scored his first goal against Sampdoria Genoa in a Serie A match in the Juve jersey. Leonardo Bonucci (78th) and Cristiano Ronaldo (88th) scored more goals for the successful debut of new coach Andrea Pirlo.

The opening game was played in front of 1000 fans who have been admitted to Serie A this Sunday. The government in Rome said Saturday after talks between the responsible ministers and representatives of the regions. Earlier, an announcement by Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora, who announced the admission of 1,000 spectators to outdoor sports events, but did not name Serie A, caused a stir.

The league complained of a lack of respect and dialogue, with some regions reopening their stadiums to fans on their own initiative. The national arrangement with 1000 spectators per event applies up to and including 7 October. There is still criticism that this initially only applies to Serie A and not to the other leagues.
