FC Bayern also won their third game in the Champions League. It was hot in Salzburg before the defending champion closed the bag in the final phase. Bayern won 6-2 in Salzburg.
The goals for the Flick-Elf were scored by Lewandowski (21st, 88th), Boateng (79th), Sané (83rd), Hernandez (90th + 2) and Kristensen from Salzburg (44th). Berisha (4th) and Okugawa (66th) were successful for Salzburg.
“It sounds very clear, but it wasn’t like that,” said Flick after the Sky game. “In the end we showed our strength, I am very satisfied with the mentality of my team.” Goalscorer Sané added: “If you just look at the result, it looks good, but we had a little trouble.”
Okugawa equalizes, Boateng strikes back
Austrian series champion Salzburg took the lead in the 4th minute via Mergim Berisha. Bayern, who last did not win in the premier class twenty months ago (1: 3 against Liverpool), was equalized by a penalty that converted Robert Lewandowski (21st). An own goal by Rasmus Kristensen (44th) gave the guests the lead just before half time.

The recently substituted Masaya Okugawa (66.) equalized Jerome Boateng (79.), the substitute Leroy Sane (83.), Lewandowski (88.) and Lucas Hernandez (90. + 2) perhaps a bit high favorites. Coach Hansi Flick, who took over from Niko Kovac exactly a year ago, remains in the premier league without losing points.
After the turmoil surrounding defense chief David Alaba, Bayern coach Hansi Flick demanded the right answer from his professionals: the record champions delivered without Niklas Süle, who tested positive for Corona, and without Leon Goretzka (calf problems).
Although the Munich team had some gaps in its defense against dangerous and brutal Salzburg, they showed up at BVB Moral four days before the top game on Saturday (from 6.30pm in the live ticker on Chillreport).
