Frankfurt / Main (dpa) – Trainer Sebastian Hoeneß is firmly convinced he can make plans with striker Andrej Kramaric at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, even after the transfer window closes next Monday.
“I don’t think Andrej will stay. We are in constant contact. We have to wait and see what happens there. Basically we see ourselves in a very good position with regard to the selection,” said Hoeneß immediately after the 1: 2. Defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt, where Kramaric scored another goal.
“He is in top form. He has shown with his individual action that he can do a lot with a little,” said Hoeneß, referring to the Croat’s sixth goal of the season. The 29-year-old has been linked with record champions FC Bayern Munich in recent days. Coach Hoeneß said he was “very optimistic” about his stay and did not fear sleepless nights until Monday.
