Hamburg (dpa) – According to chairman Marcell Jansen, the second division table leader Hamburger SV could survive a full season without spectators in the stadium during the corona crisis.
The management around CFO Frank Wettstein recognized the situation early on and took good measures, praised the 35-year-old ex-professional footballer in an interview with “Sport Bild”. “Under normal circumstances, that is, without the pandemic, we would have had a black zero in the past financial year,” says Jansen. The HSV is now also experienced differently. “That he has changed, that he works seriously, that he does not live beyond his means,” says Jansen.
