Munich (dpa) – After a year at FC Bayern, Michaël Cuisance first wants to collect match training in his home country France.
The 21-year-old Frenchman is loaned out to Olympique Marseille for one season. “Michael wants fixed working hours. He will also play in the Champions League with Olympique Marseille,” said sports director Hasan Salihamidzic from Munich. “Michaël will go his own way, the decision will now help him and Olympique.”
The talented but repeatedly controversial midfielder moved from Borussia Mönchengladbach to FC Bayern in the summer of 2019 for around ten million euros. In his first season, the midfielder played for the pros in eleven league games (1 goal), with the amateurs he played five times (2 goals). An impending move to Leeds United in the Premier League had recently failed.
Cuisance, who has a contract with FC Bayern until 2024, was not happy with his playing time with the German record champion. He wants to prove himself through the detour to Marseille, from where the Munich team signed defender Bouna Sarr on Monday.
