Prague (AP) – Three Czech national players have tested positive for the corona virus before Sunday’s Nations League game against Israel.

They were immediately isolated from the rest of the team, the Czech Football Association said. With 16 other players, the result was uncertain, so they should be retested during the day.

So far, only nine players were able to leave for Israel as planned from Cyprus, where the team played a preliminary game on Wednesday. A spokesperson for the team said every possible step has been taken to make the meeting take place on the originally scheduled date. National coach Jaroslav Silhavy wants to announce on Sunday who he will nominate. There are strict corona rules in Israel and there has been a second national lockdown for three weeks.
