Monte Carlo (dpa) – Former world-class Spanish player David Ferrer has confirmed the test partnership with top German tennis professional Alexander Zverev.
On the homepage of his academy, the 38-year-old announced that he had agreed a ‘trial period’ with the 23-year-old from Hamburg. Since July 6, the two train together in the adopted house of Monte Carlo in Zverev.
Zverev was recently only coached by his father Alexander. He had previously tried former superstar Ivan Lendl and another former Spanish top player, Juan Carlos Ferrero. In both cases, the collaboration did not last long. Zverev management have not yet confirmed Ferrer staff.
