Rome (AP) – The world’s number one Novak Djokovic has reached the final at the tournament in Rome.
The Serbian tennis professional won 7: 5, 6: 3 in the semi-final against Casper Ruud from Norway. Djokovic had major problems, especially in the first round, but eventually retained the upper hand and is in the final in Rome for the tenth time. The 33-year-old used his third match point after 2:11 hours.
In the final on Monday, Djokovic will take on Diego Schwartzman from Argentina. Schwartzman had surprisingly eliminated Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. The world number 15 then defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov in the semifinals.
