Whitmer: “It has to stop”
Whitmer had accused Trump of stirring up anger during the corona pandemic. In the spring, Trump had sparked protests against Whitmer’s measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus, writing “Free Michigan!” written. On Saturday, Whitmer spoke about Trump’s comments. “This is exactly the rhetoric that has endangered the lives of me, my family and other government officials. It must stop,” she wrote on Twitter.
