An 18-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured in a collision with a truck. The man had just received his driver’s license and bought the motorcycle a few weeks ago, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. The machine collided with the oncoming truck at Dietramszell on Tuesday when it turned left.
The novice driver crashed into the cab of the truck and died at the scene of the accident. The exact course of the accident is still being determined, according to the police. The 61-year-old truck driver was not physically injured, but received a shock.

The 36-year-old, from Weilmünster, drove his motorcycle towards Weilmünster-Laubuseschbach on Tuesday afternoon and wanted to overtake a truck, police said. He collided with the oncoming truck of a 51-year-old.
The truck ran into oncoming traffic and collided with the car of a 39-year-old. The truck driver and motorist were slightly injured. The motorcyclist did not have a valid driver’s license and his motorcycle was not approved for use, police said.
