Erzgebirge Aue clearly defeated Karlsruher SC on Thursday evening and thus moved up to promotion. The guests were denied a goal and a penalty.
With their fifth victory of the season FC Erzgebirge Aue reached the top group of the 2nd Bundesliga. At the end of the twelfth matchday, the Saxons clearly beat Karlsruher SC with 4: 1 (2: 0). Florian Krüger (2nd minute), Pascal Testroet (19th, 51st) and Philipp Zulechner (89th) scored the goals for Aue on Thursday.
Benjamin Goller (58th) scored in an entertaining game for KSC. While FC Erzgebirge is in sixth place with 19 points, Baden is still in the safe midfield with 16 points. This puts the violets only one point behind in third place.
De Auern had an optimal start to the race. Krüger scored on a pass from Testroet with a direct drop of eleven meters for an early 1-0. The Gaming Commission then missed the big chance to equalize via Marc Lorenz (7th). On the other hand, Testroet raised to 2-0 with a placed shot from the edge of the penalty area in the 19th minute.
KSC is denied a goal and a penalty
KSC attacker Philipp Hofmann narrowly missed his seventh goal of the season with a great heel stroke. Immediately after the break, Aues ‘forward extended the hosts’ lead with his second goal. The Gaming Commission was not yet beaten and was reduced to 1: 3 by Goller in the 58th minute.
The alleged connection goal of the increasingly stronger guests by Hofmann was not recognized shortly afterwards after a razor-thin offside. In addition, a fine for Karlsruhe was withdrawn after video evidence. In the final phase, substitute Zulechner made the decision for the violets.
