Sinsheim (AP) – TSG 1899 Hoffenheim recorded the next victory in the Europa League against a pathetic FC Slovan Liberec.

The team of trainer Sebastian Hoeneß came to a 5-0 (2-0) against the three-time Czech champion. Due to the corona, the guests missed 15 players. In the empty Sinsheim stadium, Munas Dabbur (22nd / 29th minute), Florian Grillitsch (59th) and Sargis Adamyan (71st / 76th) scored their third success in the third group match.

The Kraichgauer extended their lead in the table and kept aiming for the first knockout round. Previously, TSG had won 2-0 against Red Star Belgrade for four games and 4-1 against KAA Gent, without a win in the Bundesliga.

Liberec came under pressure from the start and was hit in the neck a week after the 1: 5 in Belgrade. The team from North Bohemia did not get a chance in the one-sided match. Slovan could only use five professionals from the regular formation. Because the executives are also in quarantine, head trainer Pavel Hoftych was quite lonely on his couch. The games in the Czech Republic, which has been hit particularly hard by the pandemic, have been suspended since mid-October.

The Hoffenheim team had to compete in the sixth competitive game in a row without scorers Andrej Kramaric, Kasim Adams and Pavel Kaderabek, who must be carefully set up after their quarantine. In the defensive that was shattered by countless failures, Hoeneß relied alongside veteran Kevin Vogt on 18-year-old Dutchman Melyro Bogarde.

But the home team didn’t have to worry about defensive work. Dabbur made it 1-0 after a single action. With a sharp free kick from Robert Skov, the Israeli was still on the ball and increased to 2-0. Three days after the 1: 3 against Union Berlin in the daily competition, Hoffenheim had an easy match, even though they didn’t make enough of their superiority and the Czechs defended themselves bravely.

Grillitsch, who was spared one half, scored the 3-0 with a long shot and misled 19-year-old keeper Lukas Hasalik, actually number three in the Liberec goal. Joker Adamyan could then look forward to two goals. The next challenge for Hoffenheim is on November 26 in Liberec.
