Christian Seifert is apparently leaving the German football league the following summer. At least that’s what the newspaper “Bild” reports. Apparently he is looking for a new challenge.
The German football league will apparently have to look for a new chairman from 2022. According to a report in the newspaper “Bild”, the 51-year-old decided not to renew his contract after June 30, 2022. The chairman of the Supervisory Board of DFL, Peter Peters, would have informed the Presidium and the Supervisory Board about this on Sunday evening.
After 15 years with the DFL, Seifert wanted to look for a new challenge. He joined the League Association in 2005 and during his tenure was responsible for, among other things, the fact that TV marketing revenues grew from 400 million per season to more than one billion. Seifert also recently received a lot of praise from the clubs for his quiet performance during the Corona crisis.
