The famous American magazine Forbes has published a list of the world’s most powerful women by 2020. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ranks 39th in this list of 100 people. This is the sixth time in a row she has been named one of the most influential women in Forbes.
Forbes writes about the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina Wajed is the longest-serving Prime Minister in the history of Bangladesh. This time he is serving for a fourth term.
Forbes also wrote that Bangladesh Awami League became the Prime Minister for the fourth time after winning 26 out of 300 parliamentary seats in the last election. Who again became his third consecutive Prime Minister.
It further states that Sheikh Hasina considered her fourth term as Prime Minister for the last time. During this period, he focused on plans to ensure food security, education and health care for all.
Forbes also mentioned that Sheikh Hasina is continuing her struggle to establish democracy in Bangladesh.
Forbes released the list on Tuesday. It contains the names of women of different ages from 30 countries. Of these, 10 heads of state or heads of government. There are 36 CEOs of various companies. Five people from the entertainment sector also found a place in the list.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel again tops the list. He topped this list for the tenth time in a row. The second list is headed by Christine Legaard of the European Central Bank.
Also in third place is Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States. This time he has got a place in the first list. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is in fourth place and Melinda Gates in fifth place.
