The former Bayern star’s agent has been arrested in Warsaw. He is said to have explicitly threatened his ex-client. Lewandowski’s team has already responded to the matter.
Police in Poland have arrested former advisor to star striker Robert Lewandowski, Cezary Kucharski. A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office in Warsaw told dpa news agency on Tuesday that he was suspected of pressuring the FC Bayern Munich player with ‘criminal threats’ to get 20 million euros from him. “His house is currently being searched.”
Lewandowski, 32, is being treated as a victim by the detectives in the case. “The demands made on him had no basis because of the business relationships between the two,” the prosecutor’s spokesman continued. A spokeswoman for Lewandowski referred to the DPA’s request that only the prosecutor’s office should be allowed to provide information on this matter.
