Linz (AP) – Former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki has to accept the next setback.

In the doubles competition at the WTA tournament in Linz, the 31-year-old tennis player from Berlin injured her left knee, the organizers confirmed without making a diagnosis. The portal “” had previously reported about it.

When she sustained the injury, Lisicki shouted loudly, organizers said. With a score of 6: 5 in the first set, the former Fed Cup player and her British doubles partner Jodie Burrage had to give up in the match against Norwegian Ulrike Eikeri and Yana Sizikowa from Russia.

Lisicki had been absent for a long time in the past with injuries and also glandular fever. She is currently ranked 690 in the world ranking. At the tournament in Linz, the 2013 Wimbledon finalist took part in individual qualification thanks to a wildcard, but was eliminated after a victory.
