Berlin (dpa) – After the Corona emergency year, Formula 1 wants to tackle the next season with a record calendar.

The preliminary plan published by the motorsport premier class for 2021 plans 23 races – more than ever before. In Germany there is no stop after the surprising guest appearance at the Nürburgring in this world championship.

The plans were preceded by “extensive dialogues with all organizers and their local and national authorities,” he said in view of the widespread pandemic. “We plan the 2021 events with fans so the experiences should be close to normal,” said Formula 1 director Chase Carey. Many hosts would like to use their event to show the world that things are going on.

As always, the start must take place in Melbourne, Australia. The date is March 21, 2021. This year the Grand Prix was canceled there shortly before. The end of the season is scheduled for December 5, 2021 in Abu Dhabi.

The first motorsport class will celebrate its premiere a week in advance in Saudi Arabia, which has already been discussed.

The Vietnam debut has opened. According to the BBC, there should be no race there, the date – April 25 – is in the plan, but a race has yet to be confirmed.
