Formula 1 – The new Williams team boss is sure: Roberts will be promoted

Grove (AP) – Simon Roberts rises to new team principal following the change of ownership with the Williams Formula 1 racing team. The Briton took over as general manager in June and now replaces the resigning Claire Williams in the transition phase.

Williams had led the race team on the track for a long time until the team was last sold to an American investment company. Officially, her father and team co-founder Frank Williams were still the team principal. Roberts joined McLaren in the premier motorsport class in 2003 as Race Director and General Manager.
