Berlin (dpa) – French professional footballer Kingsley Coman has been in top form for months, but before he floated to Bayern Munich, the shooter of the decisive goal in the Champions League final even thought he had an end to his career due to serious injuries.
“When I heard about his statements at the time, I immediately sought a meeting with him,” said Bavaria’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to the “kicker”.
“I hugged him and told him that injuries, especially in modern football, are unfortunately part of the game and that he shouldn’t be too concerned,” said Rummenigge. “Because our medical department will do everything it can to ensure that he will be back on the field in top condition. Fortunately, it turned out that way.”
Coman has been playing for Bayern since 2015, but the 24-year-old has never been better than this year. No wonder Rummenigge said, “Kingsley is not for sale.”
