Cologne (dpa) – Vice President Peter Frymuth does not assume that national boss Fritz Keller could leave the German Football Association (DFB) in the current crisis.
“I don’t see that Fritz Keller has any intentions in this direction. I would also like to see Keller take on the role assigned to him by the Bundestag. I don’t see any other considerations,” Frymuth said in a statement. question in the ARD sports show in Cologne.
In the DFB presidium, after the tax attack at the association’s headquarters in Frankfurt, there were recently disagreements between Keller and Secretary General Friedrich Curtius. “All of these points were discussed internally,” Frymuth reported. All differences of opinion have been discussed and they now want to “continue working with purpose”. Keller took office as DFB president only in the fall of 2019.
