Flensburg (AP) – Handball Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt has made the first staffing decision for the 2021/22 season. As the club announced, FC Barcelona goalkeeper Kevin Möller will return to the North Germans.
The Dane Möller replaces the Norwegian Torbjörn Bergerud, who will leave the SG when his contract expires. Möller wore the Flensburg jersey from 2015 to 2018 and then joined the Spanish record champions. With the German champions of 2018 and 2019, the 31-year-old goalkeeper will receive a contract until June 30, 2024.
“Kevin has developed enormously in Barcelona, with a top team in Europe. He knows what it is like to win titles and I hope he will infect the team with this hunger,” said SG coach Maik Machulla.
