US President Donald Trump has said that he is not participating in the virtual presidential debate. The commission that held the debate, The Commission on Presidential Debates, announced on Thursday that a second debate would be held virtually on October 15 between the two presidential candidates. Shortly afterwards, in an interview with Fox Business Channel, Trump said he did not want to waste time arguing.
The following Thursday (October 15) was the day before the debate between the two presidential candidates. However, after the first debate, Donald Trump was attacked by Corona. He was later hospitalized. However, after three days in the hospital, he is now receiving treatment at the White House. Meanwhile, the commission on Thursday announced its decision to virtually hold a second debate.
In an interview with Fox Business Channel, Trump complained that the commission had taken steps to benefit his rival, Joe Biden. “I personally don’t want to waste time arguing,” he said. “I’m not involved in this virtual debate,” he said.
The BBC quoted Trump’s campaign camp as saying that the Republican president was considering holding a campaign rally at the scheduled time for the debate.
