The national player lets his disappointment run wild with the result against the Swiss – right after the game. Ilkay Gündogan finds clear words here.
Led again, again no victory – the German national team has after that 1: 1 At the start of the Nations League against Spain on Thursday, a success against Switzerland was lost. Midfielder Ilkay Gündogan was pissed off after the game and spoke on live TV in anger.
“I’m a bit pissed off”, said Gundogan on ZDF, “we lost the balls too easily in front. Before we gave in, we played a bad pass without any problems, that shouldn’t happen to us.” And further: “Somehow it already indicated in the first half that it was due to a bad pass.” The 29-year-old became even more clear: “This pisses me off! In the last 15, 20 minutes, we can say we’re lucky to get another point here.”
Gundogan himself had put the team of national coach Joachim Löw ahead with his goal and played a strong game – and has now also moved up after the game.
