The national player lets his disappointment run wild with the result against the Swiss – right after the game. Ilkay Gündogan finds clear words here.
Led again, again no victory – the German national team has after that 1: 1 A success was lost at the start of the Nations League against Spain on Thursday against Switzerland. Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was pissed off after the game – speaking in anger on live TV.
“I’m a little pissed off”, said Gundogan on ZDF, “we lost the balls too easily in front. Before we gave in, we played a bad pass without any problems, that shouldn’t happen to us.” And further: “Somehow it already indicated in the first half that it was due to a bad pass.” The 29-year-old became even more clear: “This pisses me off! In the last 15, 20 minutes, we can say we’re lucky to get one more point here.”
With his goal, Gundogan himself had put the team of national coach Joachim Löw ahead and played a strong game – and has now moved up after the game.
