World-renowned American technology company Intel has received permission from the Trump administration to supply goods to Chinese company Huawei. An Intel spokesperson confirmed the matter on Tuesday. According to a report by the UK-based news agency Reuters.
An Intel spokesman said that Intel had obtained licenses from US authorities to continue supplying certain products to Huawei Technologies.
The United States has said that Huawei is spying for the Chinese government. It snatched customer information from the phone and handed it over to the Communist government of China.
Huawei’s issue came to light when US-China relations have deteriorated over the past few decades. The Trump administration is pressuring allies to keep an eye on Huawei’s spying.
At one point, the Trump administration banned American companies from providing services to Huawei from September 15, 2020. On September 22, an Intel spokesperson said after much deliberation that US officials had approved the distribution of certain products to Huawei.
