An Israeli surveillance drone has crashed into Lebanese territory. The drone crashed on Sunday (July 27) during an Israeli defense exercise along the northern border with Lebanon. The military claimed in a statement that its drone had crashed into Lebanese territory, but no information was released. Qatar-based Al Jazeera reports.
Earlier on Sunday (July 28), the Lebanese army claimed that several Israeli drones had penetrated the southern part of the country and breached airspace at least 29 times in two days. Israel says it has increased military deployment on the northern border amid growing threats from Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. Meanwhile, their surveillance drone crashed on Sunday and crashed into Lebanese territory.
The Israeli broadcaster, Channel 12, claimed in a report that the drone had crashed due to a mechanical defect.
