Bremen (AP) – Werder Bremen does not have to do without striker Milot Rashica for a long time. The attacker injured his right knee in the international match between Kosovo and Moldova in Parma, but was not seriously injured.
This was the result of studies in Bremen. The 24-year-old only got a sprain in his right knee.
“We are of course very happy that Milot was not seriously injured and that the tires and meniscus in his knee are not damaged,” said Werder coach Florian Kohfeldt. “We’ll wait for the development over the weekend and start individual training at the beginning of the week, gradually increase the load and then decide how soon he can get back into team training.”
Rashica will be absent on Saturday, however, in the two test matches against second division Hannover 96 (1:00 pm) and the regional division BSV Rehden (3:45 pm). The striker is still playing with a switch to RB Leipzig. Bremen would let Rashica go because they depend on income from transfers. However, both clubs are still separated in terms of the transfer fee. A serious injury to Rashica would have made a move unlikely.
