Berlin (dpa) – Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher can imagine a future at Ferrari.
“Why not one day? Of course it is not ultimately I who make the decisions, but I would definitely want him to come to Ferrari,” said 23-year-old Sport Bild (Wednesday). The Monegasse closely follows the development of the son of the record world champion Michael Schumacher. “He is a great driver and I hope we will see him in the Formula 1 paddock next year.” His father Michael had won five of his seven world titles with Ferrari.
Most recently, team boss Günther Steiner had sparked speculation about Mick Schumacher’s move to Formula 1 team Haas. Schumacher, 21, trained in the Scuderia Driver Academy and leads the general classification for the last four races of the season in the Formula 2 junior series.
