Basel (dpa) – National coach Joachim Löw advises his national player Julian Draxler to switch if he does not have more time at Paris Saint-Germain.
“It would be important for Julian to take a step, even at his regular age,” Löw told Switzerland before the second game in the Nations League on Sunday (8.45pm / ZDF) in Basel in Basel. “That would probably help him decisively.”
Draxler (26) has been playing for PSG since 2017, but is not one of the regular customers in the team of coach Thomas Tuchel. In the lost final of the Champions League at the end of August against FC Bayern, he was replaced more than twenty minutes before time. Draxler’s contract with Paris will run until 2021, most recently there has been speculation of a move from the Bundesliga to Hertha BSC.
“The question is also whether Paris will let him go,” said Loew, who bets on the midfielder in the DFB team. “He can always play at this level. It is good for any player to take action week after week in the long term.”
