National coach Joachim Löw has commented on the two injury-related failures of Marcel Halstenberg (RB Leipzig) and Thilo Kehrer of Champions League finalist Paris St. Germain for the upcoming international matches and nominated U21 international Ridle Baku of VfL Wolfsburg.
The DFB selection will test against the Czech Republic for the first time on Wednesday (8.45 p.m.) in Leipzig. In the last two group matches of the Nations League on November 14 (Saturday) in Leipzig, the national team will face Ukraine and three days later in Seville (both 8.45 p.m.).
The 22-year-old right-back Baku is one of three newcomers to the national team’s roster, with Loew hiring defenders Philipp Max (PSV) and Felix Uduokhai (FC Augsburg) for the first time on Friday.
