Kiev (AP) – The German national football team plays in the Nations League against Ukraine with all five available players from FC Bayern Munich.
In addition to captain Manuel Neuer, national coach Joachim Löw also starts field players Niklas Süle, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry.
Real star Toni Kroos can play in midfield after a muscle injury to his buttocks in his 99th international match. Striker Timo Werner, on the other hand, is initially on the bench after falling ill at the beginning of the week. Julian Draxler starts off on the attack for him.
With the exception of Draxler and defender Antonio Rüdiger, Löw changed the starting line-up to a total of nine positions from 3: 3 in last Wednesday’s test match in Cologne. The DFB squad is aiming for their first Nations League victory at the national stadium in Kyiv.
