At the end of September, Marco Antwerp was hired as coach of the Würzburger Kickers. After only five games, it’s all over – the coach has been fired, the successor has already been determined.

The Würzburger Kickers broke up with coach Marco Antwerp after their failed start to the season in the second division. The Main-Post was the first to report this. The club confirmed it on Monday.

Antwerp was only installed at the end of September as a successor to the dismissed promotion coach Michael Schiele.

Trares is the successor

Würzburg is at the bottom of the table with one point from seven games, on Friday the Mainfranken lost 4-1 to 1. FC Heidenheim.

He is succeeded by Bernhard Trares, who was last on the sidelines at third division Waldhof Mannheim.
