At the end of September, Marco Antwerp was hired as coach of the Würzburger Kickers. After only five games, everything should be over – the coach would be about to be fired.
After their failed start of the season in the second division, the Würzburger Kickers are apparently already saying goodbye to their coach Marco Antwerp. The Main-Post was the first to report this.
The resignation of the 49-year-old will therefore be officially announced on Monday. Antwerp was only installed at the end of September as a successor to the dismissed promotion coach Michael Schiele.
Successor is already being traded
Würzburg is at the bottom of the table with one point from seven games, on Friday the Mainfranken lost 4-1 to 1. FC Heidenheim.
The first candidate for the successor of Antwerp should be Bernhard Trares, who was last on the sidelines of third division Waldhof Mannheim.
