Two mask refusers rebelled on a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Ibiza and were arrested by Spanish security forces after landing. The two men refused to wear a mask during the flight on Friday and abused other passengers verbally and physically, a KLM spokesperson told Dutch news agency ANP on Sunday. Both men were intoxicated and controlled by the pilot’s instructions. Passengers would have helped.
KLM thus confirmed a report from the AT5 broadcaster with a video sequence featuring a wild scuffle on board the aircraft. One of the two rioters can be seen with his bare torso on the plane, punched in the face by another passenger, and shortly afterwards fellow travelers push him to the ground in the center aisle. As KLM told the broadcaster, safety on board was not compromised. Nobody was seriously injured.
