Massive protests in Israel demanding Netanyahu’s resignation

Protests erupted outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence to demand his resignation. Protesters gathered outside Netanyahu’s government residence on Saturday night in a series of months of protests. They can be seen on the streets even on Sunday morning. Netanyahu must step up to his demands, corruption and failure to deal with the Corona situation.

Qatar-based Al Jazeera reports that protests have been taking place in Israel since the 11th week to demand Netanyahu’s resignation.

The protesters say the government has failed to deal with coronovirus. Unemployment has increased as a result of this failure. Therefore Netanyahu, who is in corruption trial, should step down.

Banners put up by the protesters raised slogans like “revolution, move away”. Many had Israeli flags in their hands.

Demonstrations have also taken place in other small cities outside of Jerusalem, demanding Netanyahu’s resignation.
