Under the Corona Protection Ordinance, no more than 300 fans are currently permitted in NRW. This also applies to the DFB-Pokalkracher Duisburg against Dortmund.
The amateur sports clubs and professional clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia have little hope of competitions for a large number of spectators at the moment. According to the NRW Corona Protection Ordinance, which came into effect on September 1, the stipulation remains that no more than 300 viewers are allowed. “Sports events with more than 300 spectators are currently not allowed,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs at the request of the dpa news agency.
Numerous amateur leagues in North Rhine-Westphalia and the women’s football league start their matches this weekend. The protection regulation initially applies until September 15th. All DFB Cup matches taking place in North Rhine-Westphalia with professional participation can also be played for up to 300 fans – in addition to club staff, team members, supervisors, stewards and media representatives – including the DFB Cup match between MSV Duisburg and Borussia Dortmund on September 14.
