Donald Trump calls it his “Winter White House”. We are talking about the luxurious property Mar-a-Lago in Florida. The neighbors of the upcoming ex-president want to prevent Trump from spending his retirement there.
They fear blocked roads and other problems. That’s why Donald Trump’s Florida neighbors want the outgoing US president to stop living on his Mar-a-Lago property after his tenure. In a letter to the 74-year-old, they make it clear: Donald Trump, we don’t want you as a neighbor.
The Washington Post reported on the document sent to the Palm Springs government and the Secret Service on Tuesday. Neighbors’ lawyers advanced legal arguments as to why Trump would have lost his right to use the property as a home.

Trump’s fateful deal
The lawyers’ justification dates back to the early 1990s. Donald Trump was struggling with financial problems at the time. Mar-a-Lago devoured millions of sums just for maintenance. The real estate entrepreneur therefore decided to convert the 126-room property, which he had owned since the mid-1980s, into a private club.
At the same time, Trump is said to have signed an agreement that today serves as the main argument for neighbor’s lawyers. This agreement states that members of the private club are prohibited from living in Mar-a-Lago for more than 21 days a year and no more than seven days at a time. A Trump attorney would have expressly assured the Palm Beach authorities that his client would not use the property as a home.
Neighbor representatives are now debating what a shameful situation the then ex-president would face if he settled in Mar-a-Lago after his term in office and was then thrown out by a judge – a unique event in the history of the United States. States. The neighbors therefore have one piece of advice for Trump: “Palm Beach has many beautiful properties to offer, and we are confident the president will find one that suits his needs.”
